Custom Designed Home Plans

We build homes either onsite or if your location is more than 20 to 30 miles away from us, we build your home here in Inman and move it in one piece to your location. It is finished on the inside here, including painting, cabinets, flooring, fixtures, appliances, etc. Then when it’s moved to your location, we finish the outside and add the porch, garage, sunroom, or decks. We have a maximum width of 32 ft and length of 80 to 82 ft. The house is moved with the overhangs so a 32 ft wide house is approximately 37 ft wide going down the road. Our homes are built just the same as if they were built on your location. They are considered “stick built” and are not “manufactured” or “modular homes”. Our homes are normally built with 2×6 exterior walls, 4″ of foam fill insulation, exterior sheeting is glued, then 3/4″ of styrofoam, then the fiber cement siding, then two coats of lifetime Sherwin Williams paint. We often install sound board on the interior Master Bedroom walls to make it quieter. We use Pella windows with different styles to choose from, including mini-blinds between the glass.

We have a showroom here with many of the tried and true brands of interior and exterior products, and at the proper times throughout the building process we sit down with you and help you choose colors and materials that coordinate, including flooring, cabinet wood and stain colors, hardware, countertops, shower walls, vanity tops, and more. We custom build our own cabinets using solid lumber and plywood, not particle board that is used in many cabinets today.

Our prices are very inclusive – house finished inside and out, front porch, house moving and setting down, utilities hooked up to house, heating and air installed –basically ready to move in. The stairway to the basement is included, with those walls dry-walled and finished so you don’t see open studs from the main floor. We give an allowance for floor coverings and light fixtures and the final price is adjusted according to the amount spent. The concrete work can be handled the same way, through an allowance, or you may want to hire someone you know and deal directly with them, which is fine. We supply the prints and help coordinate the concrete work.

Please call for pricing since there are so many variables. An approximate price for an 1800 sq.ft. home would be $234,000. That includes a nice sized front porch, but the garage and all the concrete work would be added to that price.

We welcome you to bring your own floor plan, or you may choose one of ours and we can modify it to suit your particular needs, and you can combine things you like from different plans. Our plans are not “package” deals so it does not raise the cost if you have a plan of your own. Each home is custom built to fit your needs. We make sure our customers are completely satisfied with their new home. Many of them have comeback to us after relocating and want us to build them another home.
